Who We Are

Touches of Hope was founded as a non-profit organization in 2010 by Ward and Nancy Townsend. After visiting Uganda for the first time their hearts were broken for the millions of children living in deep poverty and many without any parents. Touches Of Hope partners with His Kids Orphanage School in the village of Bugadde which is about an hour east of Jinga, Uganda. We work to raise money through child sponsorships and fund raising events which helps the school with providing food, housing, clean water, basic medical attention, and an education so these most needy children have a chance at better life.

Our Mission

Touches of Hope exists so we can live out our love towards our fellow man by raising awareness and resources to meet the needs of orphans and widows, and others in need in Uganda and around the world. We will accomplish this through partnerships with individuals and other organizations all working together as one body to provide essential food, shelter, clothing, education, clean drinking water, sanitation, and agricultural/economic training with the goal of the whole community becoming self-sustaining and productive.
